[She has to stop and think about that. Given Katie last remembers it being a lot earlier in the year. Or...later last year, to be exact.]

Hmm. January eighth? Yeah. Just about a week.

[Oh, only a week. That's not too bad. She does get the idea of not being sure, so despite the fact that a wedding between a pirate and a vampire slayer sounds like the most awesome thing ever (or at least this week), Katie pushes the empty glass aside.]

If you don't know how to answer, you could always send him on a quest to prove himself. That always happens in the stories.

I haven't decided. I thought I might lease it out to a few seagulls. They can help me decorate.

Exactly like a spaceship captain. [ apparently, she has a type? or a couple of types, at least. ] He used to live here. In this very house. And he was brave and gorgeous and could almost throw a football better than me.

He went home. Back to the stars. About almost this time two years ago.

There was a Doctor McCoy? I wonder if we were related. Did he drink a lot?
