Not exactly. I mean... I felt like I had a lot of freedom before I found out I was the Avatar. But then it was like what I thought didn't matter, and the only person I could be was the Avatar they wanted me to be. The people I met later, especially Katara, didn't push me to be the Avatar like that, but at the village it almost felt like we were all bound to the fortunes. It helped to know that I could still be free and that not everything was decided yet.
